How this works
Solar electricity is not free. The opportunity cost is the feed-in tariff you would have received for exporting surplus solar energy. This calculator uses that opportunity cost as the effective price of solar energy, and compares it to buying all energy from the grid.
Only the solar energy actually used for charging (up to your EV energy need) is counted.
